## What a mention carries

* `post.text`: the story's title and text, or the comment.
* `author`: the username and profile link.

The rest is the same on every platform: relevance, sentiment and intent from the classifier, your triage, and the keyword it matched. See the [mention shape](/api).

## Mute an author

`news.ycombinator.com/user?id=name`, or a handle. A story link is refused. See [Mute authors](/alerts#mute-authors).

## Limits

* An hour with more than 2,000 new stories and comments site-wide is read up to 2,000.
