Mentio searches public LinkedIn posts for your keyword, newest first. Only public posts are read: nothing behind a login, and no comments or reactions.

## What a mention carries

* `post.text`: the post.
* `author`: name, profile or company page link, avatar. A person's headline is their bio; a company page carries its followers and website.

The rest is the same on every platform: relevance, sentiment and intent from the classifier, your triage, and the keyword it matched. See the [mention shape](/api).

## Mute an author

`linkedin.com/in/name`, `linkedin.com/company/name` (a `/posts` link works too), or a handle. See [Mute authors](/alerts#mute-authors).

## Limits

* Comments and reactions are not read.
