News articles from around the web whose headline or named people and organisations include your keyword.

Mentio reads the GDELT news feed, every English-language article it sees worldwide, every 15 minutes, and keeps those that name a keyword.

## What a mention carries

* `post.text`: the headline, the people and organisations the article names, and the site.
* `author`: the site (its domain and link).

The rest is the same on every platform: relevance, sentiment and intent from the classifier, your triage, and the keyword it matched. See the [mention shape](/api).

## Mute an author

The site's address, such as `techcrunch.com`: it mutes that publication. See [Mute authors](/alerts#mute-authors).

## Limits

* The article's body is not read: a keyword named only in the body, and not among the article's named people and organisations, is missed.
* English-language articles only.
