YouTube videos whose title or description names your keyword.

Mentio searches YouTube for new videos whose title or description contains your keyword.

## What a mention carries

* `post.text`: the title and the full description.
* `author`: the channel name and link.

The rest is the same on every platform: relevance, sentiment and intent from the classifier, your triage, and the keyword it matched. See the [mention shape](/api).

## Mute an author

A channel link, `youtube.com/channel/UC…`. An `@handle` link is accepted but cannot match: mentions carry the channel link and name. See [Mute authors](/alerts#mute-authors).

## Limits

* What is said in a video (captions, speech) is not searched.
* YouTube lists new videos in search up to a few days late, so a video can arrive after its publish date.
* Comments are not read.
